FAQ
AntiHold FAQ — The questions we get a lot.

Pricing
Your first call is free, no card needed. After that, $3 per call — charged only when we connect you to a real human. If we can't get you to an agent, you don't pay. There's no subscription, no monthly fee, no Pro tier.
No catch. The bot does the boring part (dialing, menus, waiting), so we run it cheaply at scale. We charge enough to keep the lights on and refund you when it fails. There's no upsell, no premium tier, no "Pro" version. $3 is the whole price.
You can. Plenty of people do. But the average US hold time is 13 minutes — at $25 an hour, that's $5.42 of your time. We charge $3, and you get those 13 minutes back. Try it free next time you'd be holding anyway. If it's not worth $3, don't use us again.
No. You only pay when we connect you to a human. Drop after that's on the company, not us.
How it works
Within two minutes of your text, a bot is dialing the company on your behalf. We start punching through the phone menu immediately, so we're usually past the IVR and into the hold queue within four to five minutes total.
Any company with a US phone number. Airlines (Delta, American, United, Southwest), cable and internet (Spectrum, Comcast, AT&T), banks, insurance, IRS, Social Security, Medicare, DMV, doctor's offices, utilities. If you can call them, we can call them.
You don't pay. The bill only fires when a real agent is on the line with you. Dropped call, busy line, after-hours, weird tech glitch — all on us. We will also text you to let you know what happened, and you can ask us to retry.
We listen for them and route the call differently. Most simple captchas (press 1, say a number) we handle. Complex ones we'll fail at — you'll see "couldn't reach" and we don't charge.
Privacy & trust
No. We don't record audio. The bot dials, listens for a real human, hands you the line, and forgets. Once you're connected, the call is between you and the agent — we are not on the line and not capturing anything.
We keep what we need to text you back — nothing more. We never sell, share, or hand it over to marketing partners (we don't have any). The company we're calling sees a number we own, never yours.
Yes. AntiHold only places calls to businesses on your explicit instruction. We never call individuals on your behalf, and we never make sales or marketing calls. Each request authorizes a single outbound call to the business you specify.
No. We don't have a marketing list. We don't have an ad-tech stack. Your data lives with AntiHold and our infrastructure providers (Stripe, Twilio) — that's it.
Edge cases
Yes — those are some of the most common ones. UnitedHealth, Cigna, the IRS, Social Security, Delta, United, American — all standard. The longer the typical hold, the more you save. The IRS is one of our most popular destinations for a reason.
Email hi@antihold.com. If something went wrong — agent didn't actually pick up, the line was wrong, anything — we will refund the $3 within one business day, no questions. We track this internally and use it to improve the bot. Your money is not the product.
If "your insurance company" is a US-licensed pet insurance carrier, yes. Healthy Paws, Trupanion, ASPCA Pet Insurance — all worked in our beta.
For developers / press
Not yet, but it's on the roadmap. If you're building something for your team and want to integrate, email hi@antihold.com — we'll loop you in early.
